Analysis of the Structure and Linguistic Characteristics of Biography Texts by Class X Students of SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Questions
This study aims to analyze the structure and linguistic characteristics of biographical texts written by 10th grade students at Pancung Soal State Senior High School 1. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of documentation. The research data was sourced from the biographical texts written by students in class X. E8 at SMAN 1 Pancung Soal. The data obtained was analyzed based on the suitability of the text structure and linguistic characteristics used. Based on the analysis conducted on the text structure of Grade X students at SMA N 1 Pancung Soal, it was found that 9 students were able to write explanatory texts with excellent writing criteria, 19 students with good assessment criteria, and 2 students with sufficient assessment criteria. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the linguistic characteristics of the procedural texts of Grade X students at E8 SMA N 1 Pancung Soal revealed that 25 students were able to write explanatory texts with excellent linguistic characteristics and 5 students with good criteria. This proves that students in class X. E8 SMA N 1 Pancung Soal are already able to write explanatory texts based on good and correct linguistic characteristics. Overall, the ability of 10th grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal in writing procedural texts is classified as good.
