Abstrak

METHODOLOGY FOR WRITING THE BOOK OF SAHIH MUSLIM

One of the hadith scholars who is very loyal and dedicated to the preservation of the hadith of the apostle is Imam Muslim. Doing bookkeeping (tadwin al-hadith), completion, and judging of hadith from sanad and matan is one of their efforts to preserve the hadith of the Prophet. Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim have interpreted saheeh hadith in their writings. Scholars agree that the book of Sahih Muslim hadith is the source of the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad. The Book of Sahih Muslim, which is considered to be the book of jami', is one of the most important works after Sahih Bukhari, because it has been recognized by Muslims as a whole, not only as a baseless opinion, but has been studied from various aspects related to the content of the book of Sahih Muslim. From generation to generation, the book of Muslim Saheeh has always been acceptable and used as a source of religious reference. The conclusion of this article is that Imam Muslim was very careful in choosing the hadiths to be written in his saheeh, Imam Muslim paid attention to the condition of the narrator, the state of the sanad, and the defects of the hadith. Imam Muslim has the requirements of saheeh hadith just like Imam Bukhari. One of the advantages of Imam Muslim is the systematics of writing the Muslim saheeh book, which consists of muqoddimah, explanation of hadith, and others.
