Abstrak

The Influence of Leadership Style and Organizational Culture on Job Satisfaction of Generation Z Employees in the South Jakarta Area

This study aims to analyze and determine the influence of Leadership Style (X1) and Organizational Culture (X2) on Job Satisfaction (Y) among Generation Z employees in South Jakarta. The phenomenon of high work expectations and the unique characteristics of Generation Z in urban environments form the important background for this research. Job satisfaction is a crucial aspect that determines employee productivity and retention amid the dynamics of competitive industry competition.The research method used was a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population in this study was employees classified as Generation Z in South Jakarta, with a sample size of 100 respondents determined using non-probability sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis techniques used included classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination (R2) tests, and partial hypothesis tests (t-tests).The results of the research based on descriptive analysis show that the variables of Leadership Style and Organizational Culture are in the Good category, while Job Satisfaction is in the Very Good category. The t-test results show that partially, Leadership Style has a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction with a t-value of 7.101 > t-table 1.984 and significance 0.000 < 0.05. Similarly, Organizational Culture has a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction with a t-value of 6.856 > t-table 1.984 and significance of 0.000 < 0.05. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.668 indicates that the contribution of Leadership Style and Organizational Culture in explaining the variation in Job Satisfaction is 66.8%, while the remaining 33.2% is explained by other variables outside this research model. The conclusion of this study confirms that to optimally improve the job satisfaction of Generation Z employees, companies must be able to implement a participatory leadership style and build a harmonious and inclusive organizational culture.
