Abstract

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT IN IMPROVING THE WELFARE OF TEACHERS AT SALAFIYAH WUSTHA DARUL HADITH ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL

This study aims to analyze financial management in improving teacher welfare at Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Wustha Darul Hadits. The background of this study is based on the importance of effective and accountable financial management in supporting the sustainability of Islamic educational institutions and fulfilling teachers’ welfare. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving the head of the pesantren, treasurer, secretary, and teachers. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the financial management system is still manual but covers planning, implementation, reporting, and evaluation functions. The main funding sources include government assistance, student contributions, independent business units, and community donations. Financial management strategies such as diversification of funding sources, transparency and accountability, optimization of fund allocation, and expenditure efficiency contribute to improving teacher welfare and educational quality.
