Leadership Strategies in Improving the Quality of Memorization in Final-Year Classes at Madrasah Mu'allimin Mu'allimat
This research aims to analyze and describe the collaborative management strategies between the Principal, Student Affairs Deputy, and Curriculum Deputy in a significant effort to improve the memorization quality of Nadzom Alfiyah Ibnu Malik among the final-year students of Madrasah Mu'alimin Mu'alimat. The method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection was conducted thru in-depth interviews with three managerial subjects, participatory observation during the learning process, and document analysis related to the curriculum. An integrated management model was found with curriculum strategies focusing on the adjustment of teaching methods, and teaching with student strategies on enforcing discipline and learning motivation, and general managerial strategies on supervision and periodic evaluation. This strategy has proven to contribute to improving the quality of memorization by reducing the remedial rates of final-year students. This research offers a collaborative management model based on specific formal and non-formal integration, bridging the gap between curriculum policy (Alfiyah Material) and the enforcement of student discipline (Student Discipline) in the context of pesantren. This strategy can serve as a guideline for pesantren-based educational institutions to address the issue of mastering core material thru the optimization of integrated managerial functions. Its theoretical contribution is to enrich the study of leadership in the context of traditional Islamic education management.
