Abstract

The Influence of Principal Transformational Leadership and Work Motivation on Teacher Performance at SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta 

Performance reflects the work results achieved by employees in carrying out their duties and responsibilities to support organizational goals. Transformational leadership and work motivation are important elements that influence the level of employee performance. High Transformational Leadership and Work Motivation will have a positive impact on Teacher Performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which transformational leadership and work motivation influence teacher performance. The research respondents consisted of all teachers at SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta. The sampling method applied was a saturated sample, where the entire population was used as a research sample of 62 respondents. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire distributed online via Google Form to teachers at SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta. The data analysis technique in this study used multiple linear regression analysis using the IBM SPSS 27 application. The results of this study indicate that transformational leadership and work motivation partially and simultaneously have a significant influence on teacher performance at SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta. The results of this study are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the role of transformational leadership and work motivation in improving teacher performance at SMK Negeri 8 Jakarta. This includes increasing teacher involvement in active participation, as well as encouraging the emergence of motivation to increase positions or responsibilities within the school's organizational structure.
