Abstract

STRENGTHENING STUDENTS' RELIGIOUS CHARACTER THROUGH THE INTEGRATION OF ISLAMIC VALUES AND DIGITAL ETHICS IN ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION LEARNING

This study is motivated by the development of digital technology that influences students’ behavior and character formation, including challenges in maintaining religious values in the digital era. In this context, Islamic Religious Education (IRE) plays an important role in developing students’ religious character through learning that is relevant to current developments, particularly through the integration of Islamic values and digital ethics. This study aims to examine the basic concepts, forms of implementation, and various factors influencing the strengthening of students’ religious character through the integration of Islamic values and digital ethics in IRE learning. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research by examining various scientific sources such as books, journals, and articles related to the research focus. Data were collected through documentation studies and analyzed using descriptive-analytical techniques. The findings indicate that religious character is an essential aspect of Islamic education, which includes faith, worship practices, and moral development. The integration of Islamic values and digital ethics in IRE learning can be implemented through the incorporation of moral values into the learning process as well as the wise use of technology in educational activities. This integration has proven effective in strengthening students’ religious character in facing the challenges of the digital world. However, several obstacles remain, including limited teacher competence, low student awareness of digital ethics, and the lack of fully integrated learning models.
