Abstract

Performative Learning-Based M3P Program Management In Improving Students' English At MTs Mathalibul Huda

This study aims to analyze the management of the M3P (Malida Monthly Meeting Program), a performative learning-based program, to improve students' English language competency at MTs Mathalibul Huda. Performative learning is understood as a learning approach that prioritizes active student involvement through various performative activities, such as speeches, drama, storytelling, singing, and dancing in English. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through participant observation and in-depth interviews with the madrasah principal, English teachers, program supervisors, and students, supported by documentation studies. The data analysis process was carried out interactively, referring to the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. Data validity was maintained through the application of source and technique triangulation, as well as member checking. The results indicate that the management of the M3P Program, including planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating, was structured and effective. The M3P Program has been shown to contribute positively to improving students' speaking skills, self-confidence, and active engagement in English learning. The performative learning approach can provide authentic, meaningful, and comprehensive learning experiences by integrating the linguistic, affective, and social dimensions of students. These findings confirm that the M3P Program has the potential to become an innovative model for managing English language learning in madrasah environments.
